Moving to the city of Madrid was perhaps one of the most exhilarating, yet challenging experiences of my life! The warm Spanish weather, the tapas, the endless consumption of sangria and tinto de verano makes for an ideal vacation setting. However, beyond that, the day to day living in Spain can certainly prove to be quite frustrating at times.
The ‘manana attitude’ and lack of basic customer service when trying to acquire any government services, the metro on a hot summer day are just a few of the things that can pose a real challenge. If you’re thinking of moving to Spain, my advice, do come with an open mind and a healthy appetite!
